Meet Our International Panel of Dermatologists / Dermoscopists

MoleSafe also utilizes the skills of specialist dermatologists to assess every MoleSafe patient. Dermatologists have undergone a minimum of 13 years training and have achieved excellence in dermoscopy.

Professor Peter Soyer
Dr Soyer has come to Queensland, Australia from the Medical University of Graz, in Austria, where he was Professor of Dermatology and Director of the Research Unit for Teledermatology. Dr. Soyer is President of the International Dermoscopy Society and President of the International Society of Teledermatology. He has published numerous articles and a number of books on dermoscopy.



Associate Professor Amanda Oakley
Dr Oakley is Clinical Director of the Department of Dermatology at Health Waikato and Clinical Associate Professor at Waikato Clinical School (Auckland University School of Medicine) in New Zealand. Special interests include health informatics, medical education, and early diagnosis of melanoma. Amanda is website manager of the New Zealand Dermatological Society's successful website, DermNetNZ. She was also co-editor of the first textbook of teledermatology and has published numerous articles in the medical literature.

Associate Professor John Kelly
Assoc Prof John Kelly is Head of The Victorian Melanoma Service at The Alfred in Melbourne, Autralia, Victoria’s major multidisciplinary treatment service for melanoma. He undertook his Doctorate at the Melanoma Clinic, University of California, San Francisco on the subject of melanoma diagnosis and management. He maintains an active program of research in melanoma diagnosis and is the author of many published papers on the subject.


Dr Mark Gray
Dr Gray resides in Auckland, New Zealand and is one of the original founders of MoleMap. He is a member of The American Academy of Dermatology, American Academy and Australian College of Cosmetic Surgery and the American Society for Mohs Surgery. His special interests include dermatologic surgery, laser surgery, cosmetic medicine and phototherapy. He has published numerous articles in peer reviewed journals.


Dr Martin Haskett
Dr Martin Haskett has been in dermatology practice with a special interest in the detection and treatment of skin cancer for more than 25 years, and more recently in teledermatology. Currently a consultant dermatologist for the Victorian Melanoma Service at the Alfred hospital, and Director of Rosebud Surgicentre, he has contributed to publications on the topic of dermoscopy and frequently provides GP education sessions to encourage uptake of the skill. He is currently a Board member of the Australasian College of Dermatologists and a member of its education committee.

Dr Anne Howard
Dr Howard is the Head of Dermatology, in Western Hospital, Footscray, Australia. A past president of the Australasian College of Dermatologists, she is also a visiting consultant to the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Royal Children’s Hospital plus also has her own private practice. Her special interests include skin cancer, paediatric dermatology and skin disease related to internal medicine.



Associate Professor Marius Redemaker
Assoc. Prof. Rademaker has been a dermatologist in Hamilton, New Zealand since 1991. He is a consultant at Health Waikato and is an Honorary Associate Professor at Waikato Clinical School (Auckland University School of Medicine). He has published numerous articles in the medical literature and his research interests are mainly in contact dermatitis and melanoma.



Dr John Adams
Dr John Adams is the principal of Dermatologyplus Ltd which provides specialist dermatological services in Wellington and the Wairarapa region of New Zealand. He is also a senior consultant at the Dermatology outpatients ward of Wellington Public Hospital and a senior lecturer at the Wellington Medical School. Dr Adam's main interests include teledermatology, genital dermatology, venereology and teaching.


Dr Shan Edwards
Dr Edwards has her own private practice plus works in numerous hospitals including Christchurch Woman’s Hospital and Ashburton Public Hospital in New Zealand. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians and Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. Her main interests include skin cancer diagnosis and management, eczema, acne and Photodynamic therapy (PDT).
